Fatty Alcohol & Polyether Ester Emulsion Defoamers (DS-30A & DS-30E Series)
High-performance non-silicone defoamers engineered from fatty alcohols, fatty-acid-modified polyethers, and polyether esters for silicone-sensitive systems.
Designed to deliver fast foam knock-down and long-lasting suppression without causing spot formation, membrane fouling, or hydrophobic residues. Readily dispersible in aqueous media, these grades are ideal for paper machine white water, cationic/membrane water treatment, desulfurization, and power plant cooling water.
Provides immediate bubble break upon addition, preventing foam buildup and liquid overflow in high-agitation systems.
Zero risk of oil spots, silicon spots, or filtration membrane clogging, preserving product surface quality and equipment life.
Disperses readily in water systems to maintain stable foam suppression over extended operating cycles.
| Grade Name | Composition Base | Appearance | pH Value | Solid Content (%) | Viscosity (25°C) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DS-30A | Fatty alcohols, fatty-acid-modified polyethers, emulsifiers | White to pale yellow emulsion | 6.0 – 8.0 | 30 ± 2% | 100 – 2000 mPa·s |
| DS-30E | Polyether ester, fumed silica, dispersants, stabilizers | Milky white to pale yellow emulsion | 6.0 – 8.0 | 30 ± 2% | 100 – 2000 mPa·s |
Recommended for low-to-medium temperature paper machines producing tissue, cultural, and printing paper.
Cationic water treatment and membrane-based filtration systems without fouling risks.
Dry/wet FGD systems in power plants and additive for water-reducing agents.
Power plant circulating water systems and seawater desalination processes.
Can be added directly after foam has formed or incorporated into the formulation as a foam-suppressing agent. Typical dosage is 10 to 100 ppm depending on system demand.
Do not dilute directly with raw water, as this may break the emulsion or cause phase separation. If dilution is necessary, use 2.5%–3% thickened polyacrylic acid water (for DS-30E) or follow technical guidance.
Shelf Life: 6 months from date of manufacture in unopened original packaging.
Our technical experts can perform foam-suppression trials and determine exact ppm dosing for your system.
